Environmental Harm after 'Storm 3'
Inadequate stormwater retention capacity on the Carruthers Contracting - Noosa Council 64 Lake Macdonald Drive site caused polluted stormwater to break out on Saturday 24 November 2025 for the third time in as many weeks. Construction site pollutants and debris flowed into the local creek system and partly blocked local roads. Take that Noosa Biosphere!!!
The first photo on the right (below on mobile) shows the rainfall of 49.2mm. The following two aerial photos show activity on the Carruthers site before the storm and just before they left. You can see there was no attempt to bolster mitigation measures. The other photos show the aftermath of the storm which was a polluted creek and more filth on the road as usual.
Photos show before and after approx 49 mm of rain in an hour. Again, not an everyday event but not an unusual storm for us. The third in 25 days.

This turtle was rescued trying to cross Lake Macdonald Drive two days after the 24 November stormwater pollution.
