Construction Woes

Cost blowouts, environmental harm and damage to property plague construction

Noosa Council is new to dealing with contaminated land.

Unfortunately Council are feeling this with the project over budget.

Environmental Harm and Community Safety

Inadequate stormwater retention capacity on the site has caused polluted stormwater breakouts in each of three significant storm events in October/November 2025.

Footpaths have been left impassable and unsafe after environmental incidents.

Damage to Property

Retaining walls adjoining the construction site have been damaged during works and must be repaired at Council cost.
